THE NIGHT OF THE YEAR

Synopsis

Lurais, a small village in the center of France, in the middle of the diagonal of emptiness, seems to be slowly dying away from the world. But as summer approaches, the village is suddenly transformed. The inhabitants prepare their annual festival: the Fête des barques. They build fabulous decors that parade down the river at nightfall, in front of thousands of people. The film tells the story of this metamorphosis, the night when the village comes to life.
